How much does a website cost?
Personal sites start at $2,000, Standard sites at $3,500 and Plus sites at $5,000. Hosting is $50 a month, with no setup fees. After a short chat on the site you get a fixed quote, and that is the price you pay. See pricing.
Do I need a business to work with you?
No. We build personal sites, portfolios, event pages and freelance sites with the same care as business sites. If it matters to you, it matters to us.
How long does it take?
About 2 weeks for a Personal site, 2 to 3 weeks for Standard and 4 to 5 weeks for Plus, depending on how quickly we get your feedback and content. Your quote comes with a dated schedule. Apps take about 2 to 10 weeks, depending on the size.
Do I have to pay for hosting?
Sites we host are on our Hosting plan: $50 a month or $500 a year, with SSL, updates, daily backups, uptime monitoring and a real person if anything goes wrong. Prefer your own hosting? Once the project is paid in full, we hand you a full copy of your site with a step-by-step guide.
Do I need a care plan?
For websites, no. Care is optional. Plus sites are getting a simple editor (coming soon), so you can update your words, photos, prices, hours and menus, and show, hide or reorder sections yourself. Until it's ready, Plus includes up to 10 content edits a month made by us. On any plan, we can make changes for you priced per edit, from $40, or you can choose Care ($125 a month) or Care Plus ($200 a month), both with Hosting included. For apps, yes: App Care is needed while we run your app, from $149 a month.
Will I see it before it goes live?
Always. You get a private, password-protected demo link to click through on your phone or computer. Nothing goes live until you say yes.
What do I own?
Your words, photos and brand are always yours. Once your project is paid in full, a full copy of your site and content is yours on request.
How do payments work?
Under $5,000: 50% to begin and 50% at launch. At $5,000 or more: 40% to begin, 30% when you approve the design and 30% at launch. Apps work the same way, and a website plus app bundle is one job on one schedule. There are no setup fees.
Can you build an app too?
Yes. Apps start from $4,000 and install on the phone home screen, straight from the web. Get a website and an app together and save 10% on the smaller build. See app pricing.
