Website or app: which do I need?
Most people start with a website. An app makes sense when your customers need to sign in, book, pay or come back often, like a members page or a loyalty card. Not sure? Tell us what you want it to do and we will point you to the right one.
Can I edit my app myself?
You run the day-to-day yourself. Your admin login lets you manage things like bookings or members, and on Standard and Custom, your admin portal also covers customers, accounts, orders or payments, prices and content. No technical settings, ever. Changes to the app itself, like new screens, buttons, layouts or features, are made by us. An app's parts are connected, so one change can affect logins, payments or saved customer info, and we test every change before it goes live so nothing breaks for your customers. Small changes are covered by App Care Plus (about 1 hour a month, and unused time does not roll over). On App Care, small changes are priced and agreed before we start. Bigger ones are quoted first. Websites are a little different: Plus sites are getting a simple editor (coming soon), so you can update your own words, photos, prices, hours and menus, and show, hide or reorder sections.
Can I get a website and an app together?
Yes. Get both together and save 10% on the smaller of the two builds. It is one job, paid 40% to begin, 30% when you approve the design and 30% at launch. A bundle takes longer than either one alone, so your quote comes with one dated schedule for both.
Do you build any kind of app?
We focus on apps we can build and look after well: one main job with App Starter, or logins and payments with App Standard. Bigger custom apps are by quote only, and we take on one at a time, so each one gets our full attention.
Do apps need hosting?
Yes. App Care keeps your app online, and you need it for as long as your app runs with us, from $149 a month. If you only get an app, you pay for the build plus App Care, and no $50 website Hosting. With a website plus app, the website's Hosting is still $50 a month, on top of App Care.
What web address does my app use?
Your app needs its own web address, like its own domain or app.yourbusiness.com. You pay for the domain, same as with a website.
What happens if I cancel App Care?
Give us 30 days' notice. When App Care ends, your app goes offline unless you move it to another host first. Once your account is paid in full, we hand you the files either way. Bigger changes always get their own quote, agreed before any work starts.
